North Country School of Strength is not a location but a mindset. We believe in the philosophy of Master of Sports Pavel Tsatsouline, of becoming "strong first." Strength is the vessel or container of all of the other physical attributes: speed, endurance, agility, power, mobility, etc. Imagine a 4 ounce cup on a counter, representing your strength level. Now imagine that your sport requires 16 ounces of endurance to operate at a top level. Your container will only yield one-quarter of the endurance you need. Building strength increases the size of that container so that you can access all the other attributes your sport requires.

Our instructor programs personalized workouts tailored to each individual's goals and fitness level. Whether you're aiming to increase muscle mass, improve endurance, or just enhance overall fitness, our instructor Jake Roberts can help you reach your goals. One of the key advantages of the North Country School of Strength is the individual attention you'll receive. Unlike other trainers offering "programming," your coach and instructor will take the time to understand your specific needs, create a customized workout plan just for you, and meet with you one-on-one for four sessions.

Because individual preferences of location vary, our instructor will come to you, whether you have your own space at home or have a favorite local gym. We have an agreement with some of the local gym owners, allowing us to provide on-site direct instruction and familiarizing you with their facilities. They receive a new membership, we provide orientation and instruction on proper form, and you receive professional quality programming. This is a true win-win for everyone involved.

You then have the opportunity to join the online Q&A seminars twice each month and our Facebook group, allowing you to post progress or ask questions at any time.
